Proud to Honor: Bronco Off-Roadeo - Brattleboro Ford

Celebrating Heroes: Proud to Honor Bronco Off-Roadeo at Brattleboro Ford

Honoring Veterans with Adventure – Proud to Honor: Bronco Off-Roadeo

Last year, the launch of the “Do Your Part” initiative by Blue Star Families inspired many, including Ford, to support the military and veteran communities more actively. In response, Brattleboro Ford embraced this call to action by hosting the first-ever Proud to Honor: Bronco Off-Roadeo in Texas’s scenic Horseshoe Bay, offering veterans and military families a day of adventure and connection.

The Bronco Off-Roadeo Experience

The Bronco Off-Roadeo isn’t just any driving school—it’s an adventure haven where Bronco enthusiasts learn to navigate rugged terrains safely. Designed specifically for the military community, this event welcomed 150 veterans, military family members, and survivors, fostering camaraderie and community through thrilling outdoor experiences.

A Day of Celebration and Connection

The event featured a diverse array of participants from prestigious U.S. Service Organizations like Guitars 4 Vets and Team Rubicon, and members of Ford’s Veteran Employee Resource Group. The day was packed with memorable activities:

  • Trail Guidance from Veterans: Off-Roadeo trail guides, who are U.S. veterans, offered coaching, enhancing the sense of community.
  • Inspirational Talks: Chris Smith, a former U.S. Army Officer and Ford’s Chief Government Affairs Officer, shared his insights.
  • Veteran Resources: Onsite Veterans Affairs representatives provided valuable resources.
  • Ford’s Military Recruitment: Access to Ford’s lead military employment & recruiting representative.
  • Heritage Presentation: Ted Ryan discussed Ford’s rich history with military and Bronco developments.
  • Musical Tribute: A live performance by Guitars 4 Vets.
  • Ford Challenge Coins: A special exchange of coins by Ford veteran employees.

Ford’s Commitment to the Military

Ford’s dedication to the military extends through its history, from manufacturing military equipment during World Wars to supporting disabled veterans and partnering with organizations like Blue Star Families. This commitment is evident in various initiatives:

  • Employment for Veterans: Ford actively hires veterans and their families, ensuring they have opportunities post-service.

  • Recognition and Support: Ford has been acknowledged as a top employer for veterans, reflecting its commitment to those who served.
